And that's the FISH! You can't do Aquaponics without the FISH. People get confused about the difference between Hydroponics & Aquaponics because Aquaponics has borrowed a lot from Hydroponics.
In fact, most of the Growing Environments like Deep Media Grow Beds, Deep Water Culture Floating Rafts and Nutrient Film Technique Troughs have been borrowed from Hydroponics.
The FISH are what's different between Hydroponics & Aquaponics. The "Aqua" Prefix comes from the word, "Aquaculture", which is the Farming of aquatic organisms.
Another amazing sight to see at Aquaponics USA are the FISH because they are huge. Grace & Oliver have not used their fish as Food Fish and have kept them as Worker Fish to fertilize all of their Greenhouse Plants so they have grown to be quite large, and because they have no fear of humans, they come right up to the top of the Fish Tanks when people are around hoping to get food.
